Michigan Traumatic Brain Injury Training

This training module reviews new terminology and provides greater detail about people with severe brain injury with “disorders of consciousness” including the states of coma, unresponsive wakefulness (formerly called vegetative), and minimally conscious. The outcomes for this population of people are misunderstood in that the prognosis is not always poor when the right medical treatment and rehabilitation is provided.
